I don't think anyone can argue that sunlight is good for a point. Certainly the Vitamin D one gets from sunlight is vital to health. In addition, sunlight clearly improves mood.

The danger is in the ultraviolet rays that the sun emits. UV rays have been definitely associated with skin cancer and premature aging.

Unfortunately, we can't separate out the good from the bad in sunlight. It comes back to the old saying: all things in moderation.
